Denim Diva
Todays TBT is from the most magical shoot I have been a part of thus far. The day/night was just a bunch of fun creative vibes coming together to make an amazing fashion video for one of my dearest friends, designer Phine Raun. The “Miss Midnight Blues” collection was created from vintage denim pants that Phine obtained through numerous vintage and thrift shops in Copenhagen. She then deconstructed the pants and just like Michelangelo saw David in the slab of marble, Phine made this denim masterpiece combining a variation of denim washses into perfect harmony.
Back to the actual day of the shoot…. Phine and I were extremely giddy and dancing the whole time, we knew we were up to something special! At the beginning of the video I am skipping in spice girl like shoes, one of the straps broke nearly braking my ankle but it was all g. I did a little tagging on my rooftop in Brooklyn, love me some spray paint! There is a part in the video where I am rollerblading through Chinatown at night, people mistook me for Katy Perry I was extremely flatters! Although it may appear seamless in the film I was having some serious jittery nerves for fear of not being able to stop and falling… Neither of which happened, although Phine was my support wall to catch me at the end of a hill for one of the shots. You should have seen us afterwords, we had a sleepover and ordered in cheeseburgers and could do noting but laugh our faces off from the adrenaline high we were on!! Always a fun creative time with that chica <3 The final cut of the video left us speechless, we could not believe the amazing result!
